Fortnite Has More Concurrent Players than PUBG

On the back of its battle royale mode, Fortnite has passed PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in concurrent players on PC.

Fortnite hit 3.4 million concurrents last Sunday, February 4, developer Epic Games confirmed in a blog post. Around the same time, it suffered from numerous server issues and outages, which are the main topic of the post.

As Epic explains, Fornite has gone from 60,000 concurrents to 3.4 million in just a few months, leading to some scalability issues. Looking ahead, Epic says it seeks to expand and optimize its server system to accommodate the game’s ballooning player base.

Disney Will Launch Its Streaming Service with Marvel, Star Wars Series.

Disney’s new streaming service reportedly will launch with a variety of TV series and movies consistent with the Disney brand in the fall of 2019.

According to Deadline, the streaming service’s initial offerings will include the previously discussed Star Wars series, a live-action Marvel show, an animated series based on Monsters, Inc. and a High School Musical television show. Previous reports pegged the Star Wars series, the Monsters, Inc., and HSM shows as key series in consideration for the service.
